Kiumars “Q” is a seasoned creative with extensive brand building and rebranding experience. Q's collaborative style and inquisitive approach have served him well. He has led teams and created campaigns for products ranging from coffee to luxury yachts, earning press and awards for their creativity and effectiveness. With his background in hardworking and results-driven advertising, Q has established himself as an experienced creative lead who brings a unique blend of strategic thinking, creatvity and aesthetics to every project.
As the principle of Gourki studio, Q has helped build brands from the ground up for clients and start-ups such as Motiv Running, Maximus Partners, Home Health Network, and Hälsa - in addition to collaborating with creative agencies across the US on campaign development and new business pitches. Q helped oversee the creative for Asics Running at Vitro and prior to that he led the complete rebranding of Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas at RPA, as well as creating work for Honda, Intuit, La-Z-Boy, and United Way. During the early years of his career in Minneapolis, Q contributed to the success of winning pitches for Red Wing Shoes and Case IH while working at Colle+McVoy. At Fallon, he continued to excel and was integral to the creation of award-winning campaigns for renowned brands such as United Airlines, Timex, Starbucks, Nikon, Timberland Pro, Citi, Holiday Inn Express, Lee Jeans, Bahamas, and BMW USA.
Q lives in Encinitas CA with his family. If he’s not working you can find him on a surfboard, exercising, around town daddying, having dumb and stupid or ridiculously deep conversations with his kiddos and friends, and obsessively seeking some form of intellectual stimuli.
